- All transmitter information is provided as a general guide and relates to the national commercial stations (ie not the BBC stations and not the locals as they may broadcast from different transmitters). We have tried to make sure it’s correct, but make no guarantees.
- Main transmitters operate at substantial power levels and have wide geographic coverage. Relays are more restricted in power output and/or direction and provide more localised coverage.
- If you’re in doubt or struggling to get a signal then try our Top Tips. If they don’t work, it’s best to speak to a knowledgeable, local DAB digital radio aerial installer.
- Sometimes the lie of the land is more important than how close you are to a transmitter. For instance, if your nearest transmitter is the other side of a hill, then you may not be able to pick it up. Instead it will be easier to get reception from a transmitter that is further away but has less things (eg hills, buildings, etc) blocking the path of its signal.
- DAB digital radio is broadcast on a single frequency network – this means that picking up a signal from many transmitters will strengthen (rather than disrupt) your radio reception.
