Where to Buy
Shopping for a DAB digital radio is now easier than ever before. You’ll find them in most of the obvious places:
If the first store you try doesn’t fill you with confidence or has a limited range of products, then look elsewhere. We’re particular fans of John Lewis, but a good independent hifi store can also be hard to beat. If you’re new to digital radio, don’t feel shy to ask the assistant to show you how it works and what it sounds like. When shopping online don’t forget to check the product details carefully before you buy, and read the site’s terms and conditions.
Finding a digital radio for your car can still be a little complicated. There are a number of products that you can easily fit yourself, but for integrated systems it’s best to opt for professional fitting: either at somewhere like Halfords, Just Connect or a local in-car audio specialist.
A growing number of new cars now have digital radio fitted as standard (or failing that, as an optional extra). So if you’re in the market for a new car opt for a model that does. For more details check directly with your main car dealer.
