In 2009, two new transmitters were switched on for the national commercial network. These were at Braid Hills and Taunton and they are listed together with our other on-air transmitters here.

The transmitter which had been planned for Maidenhead (Maidenhead and the surrounding area) is now not expected to be switched on in the foreseeable future. We apologise for this change to our plans.

In addition, the transmitter planned for Riddings Hill (Area around Dumfries) has been delayed. We are not currently able to give any more information about the delays affecting the site and cannot rule out the possibility that it may never be switched on.

Although already covering more than 90% of the population, in line with the government's Digital Radio Working Group report, Digital One is working on a transmitter roll out plan to further extend coverage.
